Chef Ayt Erdogan's cuisine follows the former Silk Road, from Southern Europe to Arabia, Central Asia and India. The Gaia's menu is created using Western techniques, mostly Eastern ingredients and based on the 5 elements Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal and Water. Hereby, each element represents specific flavors, colors and textures. This has resulted in a diverse menu with surprising dishes such as peking duck, harira quinoa, moussaka, veal with eggplant and mashed potatoes a la Robuchon.
The kitchen is open until 11 a.m. daily, so late night dinners are also available here. The art deco interior gives the idea of a New York Jazz club and provides the perfect atmosphere to try out the extensive cocktail menu. Be surprised by classic cocktails with the addition of Eastern flavors or go for the unknown from the wine list, filled with wines that stand up to the chef's powerful spices.
Opening hours
The Gaia is open Sunday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.. On Fridays and Saturdays, the bar closes at 2:00.
